Plant dismantling, refurbishment, shipment and re-installation

• Remove, clean, crate Mill and other plant equipment in Spain.
• Refurbish and split Mill in South Africa.
• Ship to Mexico
• Install Mill and other components in Chihuahua State, in Mexico.

 

Dynamic Engineering Services have been contracted to remove Mills and other equipment in Spain, split and refurbish the Mills in South Africa and install the Mills in Mexico for the 2 Mt/a Silver/Gold flotation/CIL plant and associated infrastructure. The plant will produce approximately 430 tons of Silver and 1 30,000oz of gold per annum.

The project, located in the Sierra Madre Mountains, was especially challenging due to the mountainous nature of the region which required that the Mills be split longitudinally in order to be transported to site.

 D.E.S.. was instrumental in the innovative procedure to split and transport

 these Mills.

 This plant was commissioned in early 2009 at an overall capital cost of

 USD 180M.
